Inspired by the interplay of light, space, and color in the architecture around us, the Ribbon Barstool seeks to converse on composition and geometry. One can extract planes of interacting lines and shapes from different angles.
The diagonal line is the visual center of the whole design. The reclaimed lumber is sourced locally, carefully selected, and milled. The smooth wood grain flows through the line and wraps around the stool body like a ribbon.
The stool uses traditional joinery, bringing structural stability and emphasizing the pursuit of craft. The timeless elegance of the design and exquisite craftsmanship ensures that it lasts through time, promoting sustainability.
